Online Baccarat
Online baccarat is played between two hands, the 'player' and the 'banker' and the objective of the game is to predict who will draw the higher hand with three possible outcomes; "player", "banker' and "tie". When evaluating hands, 10s and face cards count as zero and only the last digit of the total is counted; for example, a queen, 7 and 11 will count up to 8 while a hand with a 7 and a 3 counts as 0 or 'baccarat'. The best possible score is 9.
The game starts when the player makes a wager on the appropriate area of the baccarat table. The player and the banker each receive two cards and a third may be drawn if the player's two card total is 5 or less. After the player's hand is complete, the banker either stands or hits. One of the advantages of playing online baccarat is that a player is not expected to remember the rules as cards are dealt automatically. Additionally, as is the case with all online casino games, a detailed Help section provides information on the rules as well as the payouts. Baccarat is available in Free Play mode at most casinos so players can practice till they are comfortable enough to wager for real.
As is the case with most online casino games, baccarat is available with multiple wager options starting as low as a few coins per hand and progressive versions of the game are available at many casinos with jackpots as high as £50,000.
