Bars and Balls Slots, Amaya Review
It is time for another new and exciting slot from the people at Amaya as they have just released the Bars and Balls multi-line slot. This is a slightly different take on the classic slots that I love so much and before I started reviewing it I was a bit apprehensive. However, the good people at Amaya have done a great job with this slot and managed to win me over quite quickly with some really nice features and some huge winnings.
I am pretty sure that most of us have played the one lined slots where you have Bar's, cherries, plums, lemons - you name it. This time we have just that type of slot but with a lot more reels and a lot more symbols. There is not really a theme for this slot in the sense that we are used to but it is more stripped back to the bare essentials of what playing slots is all about. The background is almost just a solid colour, there is no big logo for the game and there are no flashy graphics that pop up from time to time. Amaya have managed to keep a very sleek and classic look when making a fresh and new multi-line slot.
Bars and Balls has a total of five reels which are all stacked three high with classic symbols taken from any one armed bandit in any casino today. These symbols have a total of 20 winning lines that you can bet on. This is a good game for beginners who are just starting to play multi line slots but I feel that it is mainly marketed towards the higher end of the scale. The minimum bet for a single line comes in at just £0.02 which brings the overall minimum bet for a full 20 line spin to £0.40. Players with a bit more money can put down maximum line bet of £31.25 which brings the overall maximum bet for the entire slot to a whopping £625. Bars and Balls has a maximum jackpot of a staggering £125,000 which is quite nice for this type of maximum bet. This is a huge jackpot for almost any slot game out there and even though the betting range is huge the winning prospects for every level are more than enough to keep you motivated. Amaya have done really well in finding a great balance between jackpot and betting range.
The symbols for this slot are as classic as they can get and once you see the double cherries you will know what it is all about. This classic and great symbols is joined by the full lemon, the two plums, a watermelon, three different Bar's (one, two and three high) and a red seven. Amaya got it right on the money with the symbols as there was no need for filler symbols since they were keeping this slot classic. The bonus symbol for this game - which activates the bonus game - is made from the Bars and Bells logo. Get this one anywhere on the second, third and fourth reels and you will be away. The wild symbol is made from the big golden bell and the streak scatter symbol just says "Streak Scatter". Not the most inventive symbol but it more than does the job.
Since this is a modern take on classic slots I am quite pleased that it has both free spins and a bonus game. The free spins do not come with multipliers but I can live without it this once. The two things are connected as the bonus game will help decide just how many bonus spins you will get. You need to pick three of the same number to get that amount of symbols and it is a nice build up to a game where you can win loads of money. There is also a gamble feature for the hardcore gamblers looking to increase their winnings. Overall I really enjoy this slot because it is a fresh take on classic games - which I also love. The jackpot is massive and the betting range is good. There is no need for a massive theme because it all just works.
