Funky 70's Slots, Net Entertainment Review
After a weekend of watching That 70's Show on Netflix I felt compelled to take a stab at one of the latest slot games released by Net Entertainment - Funky 70's. This is a groovy game with a nice theme, nice design and some decent winning potential. It will make other slot players green of envy as you swoosh across the dance floor in your ridiculously large afro and on your roller skates.

I feel that the theme for this slot seems fairly obvious from my explanation in the intro as well as the name of the game. With a massive green background and a disco ball the mood is set right from the moment that the game has finished loading. There is no massive logo right at the top - in fact, it is put in the bottom left corner so it does not draw attention away from the actual game. Right beneath the reels we find the control bar which is made from green buttons and a bit of silver around the bet levels, coin value and so on. This is a really nice move by Net Ent and works well with the overall look of the game. The reels have green and yellow frames around them and outside the frames we find small buttons showing us the winning lines that are in play. The game itself is not a visual masterpiece but it works really well to give us that Funky feeling of the 70's.
Funky 70's is another slot in a long line of nice and exciting multi-line slots released by Net Entertainment and even though it does not bring anything new to the table it is a really nice game to spend some time on. It offers players five reels all stacked three high with symbols relating to the 70's. In this case we have 40 winning lines to put our money on which gives us some great chances to get a bit of gambling done. This is a slot that will suit any beginner very well as the minimum bet for a single line comes in at just £0.01. Thanks to this the overall minimum bet for a full 40 line spin comes in at just £0.40. Players with a bit more cash can but down the maximum line bet of £2.5, putting the overall maximum bet for the entire slot at a nice £100. The betting range for this slot is quite decent but the maximum jackpot of just £7,500 is not what I would have expected from the game. It does have some other good winning prospects with lower level betting but I do not think it is worth putting down £100 per spin on this game.
The symbols for Funky 70's are just as funky as the rest of the game. We find the standard slot symbols ranging from J to A but they look more like bingo balls than slot symbols. They are joined by the music monster of the 70's and 80's - the tape cassette. The star spangled high heeled boots make an appearance along with a massive disco ball. An original computer also shows up on the reels alongside a groovy car with go-faster stripes on the bonnet and sides. The wild symbol for this game is called 70's Wild and replaces any symbol on a winning line except for a scatter. The scatter symbol is a dark-skinned woman with a nice afro and massive golden earrings (think Beyonce in Austin Powers).
One of the main features of this game is the revolving wild. This means that you can get more than one wild on a single reel and sometimes the whole reel is covered. Alongside this there is the chance to get a bunch of free spins with the scatter symbol and you can add more free spins during the game. It might not be stacked in terms of bonus features but these two extra things are more than enough to complement the rest of the game. Overall I am quite the fan of Funky 70's for its nice design, good betting range and funny symbols. It is a game well worth playing for beginners and mid-range players looking for a good time.
