When it comes to slot games with an Easter theme I am a bit of a sucker. This is why the Easter Surprise slot is without a doubt one of my personal favourites on the slot market. Even though I am a bit subjective when it comes to the theme, the game itself has some great features and qualities that are well worth sharing in this review.
However, before I start singing the praises of this slot I am going to get the only bad thing out of the way: the lack of symbols. When you have this type of theme there are only so many things you can put in before it starts getting repetitive. Three or four different coloured Easter eggs just does not feel all that great when you see the massive potential with this game.
The game has several great points and when you get passed the symbols you really start to enjoy it. With a total of 20 different winning lines you have a fair few options when it comes to betting. You can make the minimum bet for just €0.20. If you want to play on the higher levels you can put up €200 and make the maximum bet for this slot. This means that the game is perfect for both beginners and mid-level players but some high rollers might be looking in a different direction.
When you see the Playtech logo on this game you will realise fairly quickly that it is all about quality. When you look at the symbols - which I sort of slated earlier - you will see that they are still well designed. You will find everything from cute bunnies to a heap of Easter eggs combined with the standard slot symbols ranging from 9 to A. Another slot that you will want to appear is the Easter eggs basket which has the largest payout in the entire game.
Enough of the bonus symbol will activate the interesting, yet simple, bonus game. A new screen will appear, showing six different Easter eggs in a basket. Your job will be to pick three out of these eggs. They will reveal different amounts of money that you can add to your bankroll. If you manage to get the Easter Surprise Logo you will get a chance to use a couple of free spins which will also lead to a bunch of multipliers.
All in all I really love this game and not only because of the nice features, but because Playtech are right at the top when it comes to designing and executing slot machines. The theme works really well and even though you might not play this game during Easter it will still work really well. If you are a true gambler you can use the nice Gamble feature, giving you a chance to double up your winnings by a simple choice of either a red card or a black card. However, with great power comes cautiousness. Only use this feature with smaller winnings and take home the big ones straight away.
